Orfit offers an exceptionally versatile splinting material for practically every style of splint. Soft 1/8 in. Orfit has moderate resistance to stretch. Thinner perforated Orfit has minimal resistance to stretch. Soft Orfit has maximum drape,100 memory. Orfit turns transparent when heated, so it's easy to tell when the material is ready to use. For easier handling, add liquid soap to the water and keep Orfit damp while molding. Uncoated Orfit bonds without the need for solvents. For a maximum strength bond, apply dry heat to the surface until shiny and apply hooks, hinges or straps directly onto the material. Wet bonds can be released in warm water whenever necessary. The beige color and shiny surface resist fingerprints and other pressure marks.
