Orfit® Colors NS (Non Stick) offers minimum to moderate resistance to stretch. Maintains original thickness without tearing while stretching around body parts and contours. Maximum drape for creating intricate shapes. Maximum memory allows the material to return to its original shape upon reheating. Minimum rigidity allows splint to flex slightly for positioning. Has a protective traditional coating that helps prevent material from sticking to bandages and skin. When pinched together a temporary bond is created that can be broken apart when fully cooled. For permanent bond, scratch or use solvent to remove the coating and apply dry heat. Shiny surface resists fingerprints. Metallic colors give splint a stylish appearance. Choose thicker, smooth materials for splinting large body parts and thinner, perforated materials for lightweight, circumferential hand and finger, gauntlet style and pediatric splints. Allows 4 to 6 minutes of working time after heating at 140 to 160 F (60 to 71 C).
