Retains a tacky surface that helps hold the splint in place during molding. Outriggers or other additions to the splint will hold firmly even against the stress of strong dynamic components. As it cools, Encore turns white and resists fingerprinting for a smooth, clean surface. 1/8in Encore is excellent for making thumb gauntlets, finger and hand splints, bases for dynamic splints, burn splints, lower extremity splints, circumferential leg splints, foot drop splints and foot orthoses.
