NCM Preferred low-temperature splinting material has moderate handling characteristics for versatility that is unmatched by any other thermoplastic. Moderate resistance to stretch. NCM Preferred tolerates moderately aggressive handling when required to control or position a patient during splint molding. NCM Preferred has moderate drape. Moderate memory and recovery. Reheated splints will not thin or stretch. Splints made from NCM Preferred have a moderate degree of rigidity. Splints will give slightly against strong force and will resist breaking. Forms a light bond when the coating is removed. Low-profile beige color has moderate resistance to fingerprints and resists showing stains. Smooth, self-sealing edges do not require additional finishing. Working time is sufficient enough to mold the splint until it holds its shape, remove it to do necessary trimming and then reposition to complete the molding process
