Always recovers its original shape and size so there is no need to use a new piece of material when you need to change position or remold the splint to accommodate a change in edema. Finished splints have a high degree of rigidity and do not require reinforcements. Uncoated surface gives Omega Max a light tack to hold the material in place. No solvent is needed for bonding. A wet bond will hold firmly but can be pulled apart in warm water if necessary. Dry heating two surfaces will form a strong, permanent bond. The unique surface finish and memory work together to make fingerprints and other surface marks disappear while the material is warm. When cut while warm, Omega Max will form smooth, sealed edges that require little or no finishing. The unique working characteristics of Omega Max make it ideal for even the novice splinter to fabricate a broad variety of splints.
