NCM Vanilla™ is a thermoplastic material with minimum to moderate characteristics: resistance to stretch (RTS), drape and memory. Splinter only needs to handle material lightly to mold; best if held in horizontal plane. Use gentle, smooth motions to sculpt splint. Edges remain closed and smooth, even with reheating. Will not shrink. Makes moderately rigid splints. Lightly coated to allow splinting over bandages. Use solvent and dry heat to form permanent bond. Applications: use for adult and pediatric positioning, dynamic and static splinting, post-burn and post-surgical care, and arthritis splints. Three to five minutes of working time. Available in 1/8in or 3/32in thickness, smooth or one percent perforated.
