Coated material is resistant to tearing even when stretched to extremes.

Resistance to Stretch:

• Minimum to moderate. 
• Gently pull material to form splint. 
• Tolerates minimal to moderate handling, depending on the size of the splint made.

Drape:

• Maximum. 
• Ideal for forming exact fitting over contoured areas. 
• Material becomes transparent when warm for proper alignment over bony land marks.

Memory:

• 100% memory. Material will return to its original flat shape and size when reheated. Can start over if mistakes are made.

Rigidity:

• Moderate. Splints flex slightly with force.  Circumferential splints increase with rigidity.

Bonding:

• NS (Non-Stick) material has a traditional coating that will not stick to bandage or skin but does have some tackiness. 
• A temporary wet bond can be pulled apart once cooled. 
• For permanent bond, scratch off coating or use solvent and apply dry heat.

Surface Finish:

• Bright glossy finish in a white semi-transparent color that resists fingerprints.  Most marks and mars disappear as the material cools.  Edges cut smooth when warm. 
• Reheated edges become smooth by rubbing with wet finger.

Applications:

• Ideal for a wide variety of splints from small to large.  Excellent as a base for different attachments. 
• Use for finger and wrist splints, cervical collars, AFOs and fracture braces.

Working Time:

• Allows five to six minutes to form and harden after softening in 150° F (66° C) water.
