Comfortprene™ Splinting Material
Offers creative splinting options while providing warmth, compression, cushioning and comfort.
Comfortprene™ is a special selection of neoprene designed to meet the varying needs of clients. Cut out a splint pattern and make a flexible splint in a matter of minutes. No need for sewing or special machines. Iron-On Seam Tape and Iron-on Hook and Loop join pieces together and allow for quick fastening. Benefits of Comfortprene™ are:
- Flexible support that conforms to fingers and body contours.
- Light to resistive support depending on the thickness of the material and the size of the area being splinted.
- Light to firm compression.
- Built-in cushioning to reduce pressure point complications. Minimal to moderate warmth.
- Lighter weight and less expensive than thermoplastic materials of comparable size.
- Latex-free and machine-washable, air-dry material.
- Common thicknesses for clinical applications:
1/8" (3.0mm) for wrist, elbow and lower extremity splints.
1/16" (1.6mm) for hand and finger splints.
The terry-like plush liner feels soft and dry against the skin. The smooth, nylon liner allows for easy donning and doffing and iron-on tape application. The unbroken loop liner has a soft, fuzzy feel and is most effective for quick hook strap attachment.

In-Stock Items: Orders received before 7:00 pm EST will ship the same day.
- Out-of Stock Items: Shipment times will vary, depending on expected arrival to our inventory. The typical wait time is just a few days. Orders with both in-stock and out-of-stock items will be shipped partial, with any out-of-stock items being back-ordered and shipped complete when all back-ordered items are available. Note: All freight and handling charges are calculated on the original order. Back-orders ship and invoice separately and will not be charged additional freight and handling.
- Direct-Ship Items: Direct-Ship items are shipped directly from the manufacturer. We place orders with the manufacturer within a few hours of receipt of your order. Shipping times will vary, depending on the efficiency of the individual manufacturer. Note: All orders with Direct-Ship items will have associated freight charges appear on a separate invoice from in-stock or out of stock item invoices.
- Special Order Items: Currently, items that are large, heavy and oversized are treated as Special Order items. Orders for these items cannot be facilitated on our website at this time. Plans are underway to further automate this, but in the meantime, we ask customers to call customer service to place orders or to obtain quotes for special order items.
